My biggest challenge before joining GenAI Accelerator was figuring out what to learn. There’s an overwhelming amount of AI/ML content online, but much of it lacks structure or real-world context. GenAI Accelerator solved that by providing a clear, structured learning path focused on the tools, skills, and workflows used in production AI applications. Each topic builds on the previous one, making it much easier to develop practical, job-relevant skills. If you're on the fence about joining, I highly recommend it. It's a great way to cut through the noise, accelerate your learning, and gain experience that translates directly to real-world AI engineering work.

I’m a software engineering student with almost no real IT background, and for a long time I felt totally lost with GenAI. I kept jumping between random tutorials and YouTube videos, but nothing showed me what actually works in the real world. What made this course different is how much Dave shares from his own experience actually building AI systems for real companies, not just toy demos. Hearing the “this is what really happens in production” stories, the mistakes, the tradeoffs, and the patterns he uses in real client work felt more valuable than any standalone project tutorial I’ve done. For the first time, I felt like someone was showing me the real map, not just throwing code at me — and that gave me a lot of confidence that I can grow into a real AI engineer too

I have been a software engineer for 5 years. For most of 2025 I was afraid that AI was going to render me irrelevant. Then, after watching some of Dave Ebbelaar's YouTube videos, I had an epiphany: Anybody can build a demo for an 'AI system' in a closed context. But implementing an AI system into a real world business is a whole different proposition that requires fundamental software engineering knowledge. In fact, knowing how to build systems that handle real world edge-cases becomes even more important in the stochastic world of generative AI. So I set out to future-proof myself by learning how to build clean, maintainable AI systems and deploy them into the real world with proper observability, guardrails and testing. This course provides all of that and more. Everything that you learn is grounded in fundamental, real world principles and devoid of hype. So I have shifted from thinking that my software engineering skills are redundant to realising that such skills actually form the foundation of every real world AI implementation! And I now have a strong understanding of how to build reliable AI systems that can sit on top of my existing skill base. I'm not scared any more. I'm now excited!

As a Junior Data Scientist with limited hands-on experience, I often felt left behind in my career, particularly when it came to deploying ML applications, despite having a strong theoretical foundation. I am extremely satisfied to have enrolled, as Dave genuinely guided me through every step of AI engineering, covering each topic thoroughly and patiently. This course will definitely give me a huge confidence boost as I step into my next opportunity. Don't think twice about taking this course, just do it.

Before joining the GenAI Accelerator at Datalumina, my approach to AI engineering was fragmented and largely experimental. I had ideas and some technical grounding, but I lacked a structured framework to translate use cases into scalable, production-ready solutions. The biggest bottleneck was not technology—it was clarity on architecture, prioritization, and how to turn AI into real business value. The program changed that completely. It provided a clear, end-to-end methodology for designing, building, and deploying AI solutions, with a strong focus on practical implementation. I gained hands-on experience with real-world architectures, learned how to structure RAG systems properly, and, more importantly, how to align AI initiatives with measurable ROI. The biggest breakthrough was moving from “playing with AI” to engineering solutions that actually solve business problems and can be deployed with confidence. It gave me the tools, mindset, and speed to execute at a much higher level. If you’re considering the GenAI Accelerator, ask yourself this: are you still experimenting, or are you ready to build real AI products that deliver value? If it’s the latter, this program will get you there faster and with far more precision than figuring it out on your own.

Before joining the GenAI Accelerator, I was starting from zero and honestly didn’t know what to learn first or what actually matters in real-world AI engineering. The biggest thing holding me back was the noise: there’s a lot of low-quality, confusing content on YouTube and even platforms like Udemy, and most “AI career roadmaps” (even the ones generated by AI) are generic and stretch everything into a silly 3–4+ month plan without a clear path to becoming production-ready. GenAI Accelerator helped me overcome this by giving me a structured, production-focused path and a framework that’s designed to be used in real projects. Time is money. Yes, the price can look high at first, but what you get in return is a production-ready framework and the compression of the learning curve — saving you at least 3–4 months of trial-and-error. Instead of spending that time just “learning,” you can use it to build a portfolio with real, end-to-end projects, which is what actually increases your chances of landing a six-figure job. If you’re on the fence: if you don’t know AI, this is one of the easiest and fastest paths to accelerate and become production-ready in about 4 weeks. And if you already know the basics, you’ll still get an amazing framework plus insights from people who’ve been working in this field for 10+ years — back when AI wasn’t even hype.

I didn’t have a clear, end-to-end understanding of the moving parts in a production GenAI system - how everything fits together, and which tools/products are best for real-world use. This program gave me a practical framework and hands-on experience with production-ready patterns and tooling, so I can confidently design and deliver reliable, mission-critical AI-enabled applications. If you want a comprehensive, practical program (not just theory), GenAI Accelerator is worth it! Especially because the mentorship and community help you move faster and avoid costly missteps. You won' t find a more comprehensive course around.

The GenAI Accelerator course helped with the struggle of unreliable OCR output and trying to solve everything with rules. We knew AI could help, but we weren’t sure how to apply it in a practical, production-ready way. Within the first couple of weeks, we started to understand how to use AI for structured extraction and refining results through prompt engineering instead of constantly patching edge cases. This course is very well-structured and practical. Within the first week, you'll likely starting thinking of ways that you can apply what you're learning to new or current projects. I definitely recommend it.

I am a Senior Full Stack Engineer and was really wondering where to start learning about AI. I Had to do lot of research but was going nowhere that's when I found Datalumina and it really helped me to understand where I want to be in AI world as an engineer. The GenAI Accelerator shifted my approach from focusing on individual models to building complete, production-ready AI systems. I now prioritize rapid prototyping, structured prompt engineering, and robust evaluation with guardrails. It also pushed me to favor RAG over fine-tuning and to consider cost, latency, and user experience as core parts of AI engineering. I am really glad I found out about this course.

Before joining the program, I genuinely had no idea where to start with building AI applications. I was overwhelmed by the amount of content online. Everyone seemed to be teaching how to build a basic to-do app with AI sprinkled in, but nothing felt grounded in what it actually takes to build production-grade systems. It felt scattered, surface-level, and honestly intimidating. What resonated with me about Dave’s program was the honesty. From day one, it was clear this wasn’t a “get rich quick” or “vibe-code an AI startup in a weekend” type of course. It laid out the reality: building real AI systems requires understanding multiple moving parts — architecture, evaluation, prompting, data flows, guardrails, versioning, infrastructure, and more. That framing alone shifted my mindset. The biggest breakthrough for me was finally understanding the full picture — from step A to Z — of how to design, build, and ship production-grade AI systems. Instead of random tactics, I now think in systems. I understand the components, how they interact, and how to structure projects properly. That clarity turned uncertainty into confidence. The community was another huge differentiator. Being surrounded by other builders working through similar challenges accelerated my learning and gave me perspective. It didn’t feel like I was figuring it out alone. This has easily been the best investment I’ve made in my career. I went from feeling shaky and unsure where to even begin, to confidently building and shipping custom AI solutions for businesses. If you’re serious about developing real AI capability — not just playing with demos — this program gives you the foundation to actually do it. Thank you for everything, Dave.

As a Chinese medicine practitioner, software engineering always intrigued me, but I struggled to find a real entry point. Even after dabbling in front-end development, I felt a gap in my skills that I couldn't bridge. I originally joined Dave’s program just to learn Python, but what I found was much bigger: a complete, end-to-end picture of the software development lifecycle. The program's focus on first principles changed everything for me. Instead of just following tutorials, I learned how to adapt to an ever-changing technical landscape. Even when I faced unique challenges—like having limited access to OpenAI SDKs in Hong Kong—the debugging process Dave’s framework taught me forced me to dig deeper and actually understand the "why" behind the code. Today, I don’t just feel like a coder; I feel like an engineer. This course isn’t just an investment in skills—it’s about empowerment. It gives you the head start you need to turn any entrepreneurial idea into a functioning application. If you’re on the fence, jump in. It is the quickest way to adapt to the new AI engineering age.

Coming from a full-stack SaaS background, I wanted to get on the AI train but wasn’t sure what direction to take. I joined the Datalumina Freelance Program to explore whether AI freelancing could be the right path for me, while I was still considering starting another business. For me, the first part of the program was the most valuable. Writing down what truly matters to me and building my plan from there. It gave me clarity and direction. As the program progressed, it became clearer that the freelance path suited me best for the coming years. The real strength of the program is that you’re never on your own: the weekly Q&A sessions, Dave’s guidance, and the community make it easy to ask questions, stay accountable, and keep growing. That makes it much more powerful than a standard online course or Udemy class. It’s practical, personal, and focused on real progress. Since joining, I’ve landed my first two AI freelance projects! A big milestone and proof that the system works 💪

So I didn't even finish the program.. opportunities started coming in faster than I could keep up and I just ran with them! Take that as you will :) What I got from the Data Freelancer program was a mindset shift, the tools, and the network! Finding your niche, building inbound systems that fit you (either LinkedIn, YouTube, whatever works for you), learning how to position yourself and go after the right jobs! Nobody hands you anything though.. you show up, you do the work. Like anything worth doing! Now, the difference is that you're surrounded by ambitious people in AI and data who are actually building stuff, and that energy rubs off on you! Opportunities flow through the network too, which helps when you've put in the effort ;) The biggest thing for me is that it opened up how I see opportunities altogether. Not just freelancing, but starting products, engaging with people I normally wouldn't approach, seeing possibilities I didn't know were there. My whole field of vision got wider. 10/10 would do it again! :)

It has been a great learning experience to take the GenAI Accelerator course. Before I started, I had a simple AI system with limited customization, and I was looking for a way to build an AI application from first principles using Python. I was jumping between random sources of information on the internet and had taken a theoretical machine‑learning course. I got a foundation of what AI can do and how it works but I missed a plan and some tools for building a production ready AI system. GenAI Accelerator was exactly the program I needed to get the right tools and connect the pieces of the puzzle. Part 1 gave the overall picture of what is important when building an AI system - it has among other things giving me a good understanding of prompt engineering and practical experience with how to reach an endpoint in an IT-system. Part 2 explained the important building blocks and gave a good introduction of how to work with LLM in Python - especially the concept chain of responsibility has been very important for my understanding of how AI systems work. Part 3 gave the necessary understanding of the software infrastructure needed to build IT-systems - containerization and Docker were totally new concepts for me. Part 4 gave me what I need to understand RAG - I have already used what I learned to build a RAG pipeline to my current AI solution. Part 5 gave me a deep understanding of the necessity of monitoring you AI system and how this can be used to improve your system over time - the ability to look at the data that run through a system will be invaluable in the future. Part 6 taught me how to deploy an AI system - I have already applied this knowledge to deploy a GDPR‑friendly version of my current AI solution that ensures data stays within the EU. I can recommend this course to anyone with a technical background who wants a structured learning experience on how to build an AI system from first principles. I look forward to using the knowledge and experience I have gained to build state‑of‑the‑art AI solutions in the future.

Before joining the GenAI Accelerator, I was new to AI engineering and a bit overwhelmed with all the options available in terms of frameworks and approaches. Within all of the different frameworks and no-code tools available, I was not sure what the best approach was to build real, scalable systems in production instead of basic tutorials. The GenAI Accelerator gave me a lot of clarity in how to actually build solid systems from first principles, backed by many years of experience from real world projects. For people who are not sure yet, I would highly recommend it.

Data Freelancer gave me the confidence to bet on myself. Week 2 alone, setting one clear goal, guided every decision I made for the next year. I crossed $100K in revenue 3 months ahead of my original target. I only finished 3 of 6 weeks. That's not a criticism. It's proof: the program gives you what you need to actually start moving. For me, that was permission to believe it was possible, and a framework to run with. The rest was execution.

As someone with little to none programming experience, I started the Accelerator track without really knowing what I was getting myself into. In six weeks this track took me to another level. The balance between theory and the practical project you are working on, is the best way to truly understand what you are learning and implementing. The learning curve was steep and required a real investment of time and focus, but every new insight and small win kept me motivated and pushed me to keep going. For me in particular, the Python beginners course came in handy before kicking off the first week. Dave explains clearly and codes along in real time. He leaves mistakes in and shows how he troubleshoots and debugs them, which turned out to be one of the most valuable parts for me. It teaches you how projects really work in practice, not how perfect demo code looks. During the project phase, you can choose between a more passive route or the harder one where you actually write the code yourself. I went for hard-mode, and despite of the extra hour you have to put in, that made a big difference in how much I learned. Finishing this track, I feel confident starting new projects with the GenAI Launchpad and I will probably fall back on this course as a practical reference quite often in the future.

Before joining, I felt that my growth at my company had reached a ceiling. I knew I had the potential to do much more than what a standard 9-to-5 allowed, but I didn’t have a clear path to make that transition. I wanted to start something of my own, but I wasn’t sure how to turn my skills into a consistent freelance business. The Data Freelancer course provided exactly the structure and guidance I needed. It wasn’t just information, it was a full system. I learned how to build both inbound and outbound systems to generate leads, how to think like a business owner rather than just a technician, and how to position myself effectively in the market. What really made the difference, though, was the community and coaching. The content itself is strong, but the coaching ensured I was applying it correctly and not misinterpreting anything. Having direct feedback helped me move faster and stay confident in my approach. By following the program and using the templates and frameworks provided, I landed my first contract worth just under five figures, much sooner than I expected. Honestly, I didn’t think that would be possible in such a short timeframe, especially as someone just starting out.

Honestly, I was totally lost in the AI jungle. So many tutorials, videos, frameworks, agent this, LLM that… I couldn't see the forest for the trees. There were tons of good resources out there, but nothing really connected the dots in a bigger picture. Dave Ebbelaar's videos stood out—the way he puts it all together just makes sense. So when I stumbled onto the GenAI Accelerator, I figured, "Alright, let's see if this can finally tie it all up for me." Spoiler: it did. And it helped me a lot, actually! The Launchpad framework was a gamechanger—completely modular and easy to follow, but built solid. You can start developing and testing stuff locally without jumping through a million hoops, and when you're ready to go live, the whole thing is containerized and deploys in a snap. I also loved that they showcased a real-world provider, Hentzer, for hosting; made the whole "production-ready" thing much less scary (and surprisingly affordable). Week 4's RAG pipeline was exactly what I needed for my first business use case—lots of sensitive data that absolutely can't leave the machine, so everything had to run local. Thanks to those videos, I finally wrapped my head around the full RAG workflow and could tweak my setup until the similarity search started finding all the relevant chunks. And let's not forget the basics! Coming from the Java world, Python sometimes felt like alien tech to me. But even the environment setup and rookie mistakes were covered in a way that made life way easier. And then I began to work with Claude. Sure, Copilot and Cursor were cool, but Claude absolutely blew my mind. My plan to finish the Accelerator kinda derailed because, honestly, I was suddenly banging out project after project with Claude as my secret weapon—all on top of Launchpad! He just gets the concepts and can spin up frontends, knowledge management, you name it. Next thing I know, I'm letting Claude build a doc manager for my RAG use case with proper versioning and update/delete knowledge documents for my vector base. Wild! So to anyone on the fence about joining, I'd say stop hesitating and just do it! The content is top notch, super clear, and hits all the real-world stuff you actually need. The community's growing like crazy and everyone's ready to help. I'm really glad I found Dave, Datalumina, and the GenAI Accelerator. Zero regrets—seriously, it was one of the best moves I've made for my AI journey.
