Miguel Miranda Dias

Miguel was based in Bordeaux in a stable full-time engineering role, doing work that had become boring and not scalable. A personal break gave him time to rethink his next step, and it was clear he needed a framework rather than another job. He had been following Dave's videos and joined Data Freelancer to stop drifting and finally pick a niche and an industry he actually wanted to work in.

The courses are structured so each week builds on the last, and early on he picked up the vocabulary and rules for the way freelance contracts actually work. His first new contract came directly from a post inside the community, in the exact agentic AI niche he had been targeting. Layering in what he learned from the GenAI Launchpad, he can prototype and ship to production in roughly a week instead of months. Where his old salary was around $75k a year, this year he is on track for close to $200k, and his investment in the program was paid back inside two weeks of starting the new contract.
